With Self Contained Breathing Apparatus, the most modern personnel protective
equipment available and modern apparatus including a 77 foot ladder truck to
name a few.  A pro-active fire prevention program, modern training material and
date, advanced materials and as always a dedicated firefighting force for the
Berwick.

In the 1950's the department became a member of the Interstate Emergency Unit of
Maine and New Hampshire and the Mutual Aid organization that is still utilized today.
